CWWA Conference Paper Prize 2012

CWWA annnounces prize for best conference paper given by a postgraduate student at its 2012 conference in Taiwan.

Emma Parker is a Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Leicester, where she teaches twentieth century and contemporary literature. Her research focuses on contemporary women’s writing, feminism and queer theory, and she has published essays on Margaret Atwood, Angela Carter, Toni Morrison, Michele Roberts, Jeanette Winterson, Rose Tremain, and Judith Katz, as well as Graham Swift, Martin Amis and Will Self. She has interviewed Sarah Waters, Linda Grant and Valerie Mason-John. She is author of Kate Atkinson’s Behind The Scenes at the Museum: A Reader’s Guide (Continuum, 2002) and editor of Contemporary British Women Writers (Boydell & Brewer, 2004). She has guest edited a special issue of Contemporary Women’s Writing on Diaspora (2009) and of Textual Practice on Contemporary Women’s Writing and Queer Diasporas (2011). She is currently co-editing, with Mary Eagleton, The History of British Women’s Writing, 1970-Present Day, and writing a book about Michele Roberts for MUP.
